Custodian for the Security and Service Unit

The Operations Support Department aims to develop the organization and create effective and accessible support systems. We support the organization’s work regarding safety, communication, HR, finance, legal matters, and other strategically overarching issues.

Job Description

We are now looking for a custodian for the Security and Service Unit.

As a custodian at the County Administrative Board, you will be continuously involved in managing alarm and access systems, mail handling, maintenance and support of technical equipment, technical IT issues, receiving goods, moving furniture, minor repairs, assisting with certain purchases, and other general custodian tasks.

In your role as a custodian, you will also have a special role in the agency's continuity work and be responsible for premises and technology related to this. You will also be responsible for the agency's car pool of nine vehicles. Your tasks will include vehicle maintenance and contact with suppliers.

You will work closely with local coordinators and security coordinators. The unit also includes the agency's registry and archivist. You will also work closely and receive support from the joint IT function of the county administrative boards.

The tasks are varied and often event-driven. Physically demanding tasks may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • relevant vocational training in property technology or equivalent competence obtained in another way
  • several years of documented experience as a custodian
  • extensive experience with technical and IT equipment and systems in an office environment such as computer workstations, conference room technology, and mobile telephony
  • good knowledge of the Office suite
  • good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form

Experience in the following areas is advantageous:

  • experience in the operation, maintenance, and management of technology related to sensitive security operations
  • competence in sensitive security operations as well as continuity management

As a person, you are driven as the position entails a clear responsibility to independently and through your own initiative drive the work forward while being flexible and willing to collaborate with your colleagues to create a good working climate. You should be meticulous, analytical, and structured in your work approach. Furthermore, a good communicative ability is required, along with the ability to explain and address questions pedagogically, as well as express yourself well in both spoken and written form. You will be part of an important central function for the agency and should thrive in a social environment with many daily contacts, both internal and external.

A driver's license is required.

Employment

You must be a Swedish citizen as the position is security-classified and a security clearance will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). The employment includes an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
